Correct planning, possible problems

The mentioned planning steps belong to a row of measures, which are necessary for a successful and a free-of-trouble functioning of a ground-water heat pump plant. Further investigations, pre-clarifications and measures are added if necessary. The most important are specified in the lists below.

Procedure

  1. Clarification of the geological-hydraulicgeological conditions as well as the ground-water protection-technical restrictions.
  2. Correct placement of withdrawal and return well (groundwater direction of flow, consideration of already existing plants).
  3. On effective heat requirement aligned borehole development.
  4. Sufficient de-sanding of the system.
  5. Several hours lasting Pumping test .
  6. Chemical analysis of the groundwater.
  7. Particularly with scarce groundwater resources: Clarify the maximally possible heat extraction.
  8. Regarding the water return: Clarification of the ground permeability also within upper ground ranges.

Measure catalog

  1. Under ideal conditions: Standard construction of the groundwater withdrawal and its - feed-back well.
  2. With high amount of sand: Usage of a bypass at the system power-on, usage of simple filter systems, backrinsable filter systems, cyclone filter, sediment basin, intermediate cycle, heat exchanger, demand-related stepless groundwater supply, etc.
  3. With high iron and manganese content: Special filter systems or oxygen-free running of the plant.
  4. With aggressive, corrosive composition of the groundwater: Usage of special, well detachable plant parts from PVC, stainless steel (chrome-plated steel), intermediate cycle.
  5. With rare ground-water supply or seasonally strongly varying groundwater supply-rates: Usage of an intermediate cycle and a heat exchanger.
